Joe Wenger has reached his ministry funding goal!

Joe Wenger

We’re excited to share some great news with you all: Joe Wenger has reached his ministry funding goal!

Joe was a hard worker, and the Lord blessed his efforts. Upon completing fundraising, Joe was already looking ahead to his assignment in our Headquarters. He said this: “I am glad to be in State College serving through the support the LORD brought in. Praise him for what he has done in this process and for his provision to send me to be part of reaching students with the gospel and making disciples of Christ."

Joe didn’t make it through this alone. His support raising mentor, staff member Jay Svec, shared this about God’s work in Joe during this season: “During Joe's support raising, he did a great job pushing forward and crossing the finish line! Joe took steps of faith that paid off: he had long referral chains leading to support, large unexpected donors, etc. I'm thankful to have Joe as a friend and a co-worker in the HQ—specifically in the room next to me!”

Already, Joe is hard at work in our Systems Department, having served there as an intern. Welcoming him back, department leader Jason Maas had this to share: “As an intern, Joe helped create a valuable software tool that many DiscipleMakers staff use.  He's a great listener, and he eagerly works hard for the Lord.  I'm looking forward to seeing what else he creates in the years to come, which will help us to build God's kingdom!”

Good work, Joe. We’re so thankful for the way you’ve trusted the Lord, persevered together, and invited others into what God is doing. We’re excited to see the ways in which you will help our Headquarters team thrive!

Jerry & Ceili Stock

We’re excited to share some great news with you all: Jerry Stock has officially reached his ministry fundraising goal!

If you know Jerry and his wife Ceili, it’s no surprise that they approached this season by encouraging one another and pressing forward together. Reflecting on what God taught him through support raising, Jerry shared this: “God does provide! And it’s not only ministry support. He was a comfort when I was weary, a voice when I didn’t know what to say, and a motivator when I needed a loving prod. Through support raising, God showed Himself to be a loving and generous Father.”

Indeed, support raising can be challenging, so Jerry had even more support: his mentor, DM staff member Keith Evans. Keith witnessed firsthand the growth God has brought about in Jerry during this season. saying this: “During his season of fundraising, Jerry did a great job balancing faith and hard work. He was rarely ever discouraged and often blown away by the Lord's faithfulness and generosity. I'm thankful to have him as both a friend and a co-laborer on campus!”

Speaking of which, Jerry is now stepping into his next ministry assignment on our Lancaster campus team, and Ceili will happily volunteer when she is able. Their team leader, Clint Watkins, was thrilled to hear the news. Having worked with them previously during Jerry’s internship with DM, Clint shared this: “During Jerry’s internship, the Stocks quickly became valued members of our team, making a big impact on us and our campuses. Liam O'Hagan has reached his ministry funding goal!

Liam O'Hagan

We’re happy to announce Liam O’Hagan has successfully reached his fundraising goal!

Through the journey of support raising, Liam worked hard, and God taught him much through highs and lows. He shared this about it: “God has taught me throughout support raising that it has nothing to do with me, but it has everything to do with Him. He is able to use other believers and me so perfectly in order to accomplish His purposes and will. What a joy it is to be used by the Lord to spread His name and kingdom!”

Such good thinking energized Liam countless times. Support raising can often be challenging work, but thankfully, Liam was not alone. He was helped along by his mentor, DM staff Clark Mummau. Reflecting on Liam’s tremendous growth during this season, Clark had this to say: “I am so encouraged by how the Lord provided for Liam through local churches and many other connections. Liam has really grown in his walk with the Lord through this process in his time in the Bible and in prayer, and it's encouraging to see how these will translate to his ministry on campus now. It's already been a blessing serving alongside this brother on campus and seeing his zeal to bring others into God's kingdom. Praise the Lord for his provision!”

Liam is now beginning his next ministry assignment: the Lehigh Valley team. His new team leader, Brian Parker, expressed joy upon hearing the news: “The Lehigh Valley Team is so excited to have Liam join us on campus! He has a genuine heart for everyone he meets, and a bold yet compassionate approach for others to personally know Jesus. God is already using him to speak the truth in love and reach more students with the gospel!”

Well done in support raising, Liam! We’re looking forward to seeing the fruits of your labor on campus!

George Della Piazza has reached his ministry funding goal!

George Della Piazza

We’re thrilled to announce that George Della Piazza has successfully reached his fundraising goal!

It’s been a great season of learning and trusting God for George. When asked what he learned along the way, George was quick to share this: “Nothing made me understand the synthesis between God’s provision and man’s faithful labor quite like support raising. I learned that the fruit of labor was often not what I desired in the moment. However, from the resounding yes, to the disappointing no, to the fervent prayer of a brother in Christ, God proved himself to be, above all else, in control.”

While his wife Becky cheered him on, George was helped by his mentor, DM staff and Susquehanna Valley teammate Mike Chartowich. When asked, Mike offered these thoughts: “I am thrilled to have George serve with our team full-time. He has many gifts and strengths that complement our team. He has a heart for people, which will reap much fruit as he disciples men on campus!”

As George now lands full-time on campus, his team leader, DM staff Zack Gugenheim, who is proud of him and eager to work alongside him on campus, adding this: “George showed true faith as he persevered in support raising, and we are super excited to see how the Lord uses that same faith as he disciples young men to follow Jesus and lead others to Him.”

Well done in support raising, George! We look forward to hearing of the fruit of your labors on campus!
