Team Placement

Collin Snyder has reached his support raising goal!

Collin Snyder

We’re excited to celebrate with Collin Snyder, who has officially reached 100% of his ministry fundraising goal and joined the Susquehanna Valley Campus Team!

Support raising is a season filled with opportunities to trust the Lord through both encouragements and challenges, and to see Him provide in unexpected ways. Looking back on what God taught him throughout the process, Collin shared this: “God constantly taught (and retaught) me that, more than any financial or prayerful support, my greatest need was Himself. As I rested in Christ as my savior, He worked out all the rest!”

Collin’s support raising mentor, DM staff member Chris Ebersole, had the opportunity to walk closely with him through that season, reflecting: “Through many trials, Collin ran well, as God has surely set him up well for both the ups and downs of ministry on campus. I’m looking forward to our growing team ship now that he’s officially joined us in the Susquehanna Valley! It’s been a joy already to have him start to live with us, and I look forward to our growing friendship back at home!”

And Collin hasn’t wasted any time getting started! With the fall semester underway, he is already hard at work meeting students.

His team leader, Zack Gugenheim, is grateful not only to have another laborer joining the team, but also for the energy and joy Collin has already brought to the ministry: “Collin came as a much-needed, and unexpected, wind in our sails! He finished fundraising and has hit the ground running by boldly engaging with first-years, helping our student leaders lead music at our fellowships, and helping with evangelism and discipleship. And he has done so joyfully, and his joy has certainly rubbed off on us as well!”

We praise God for sustaining Collin throughout support raising, providing the partners he needed, and preparing him for this new season of ministry. Congratulations, Collin!

Jacob Beecher has reached his support raising goal!

Jacob Beecher

We’re excited to celebrate with Jacob Beecher, who has officially reached 100% of his ministry fundraising goal!

Support raising is a season of trusting the Lord while faithfully inviting others to partner in the work of the gospel. Through the challenges and encouragements of this season, Jacob has seen God provide and prepare him for the ministry ahead. Looking back, Jacob shared:

“During this season of support raising, God taught me to rely on and trust in Him fully, and He provided! I couldn’t be more excited to start serving the Lord in the Headquarters and to be part of reaching students with the gospel!”

With his support now fully raised, Jacob will join the DiscipleMakers Headquarters Finance Department, where he will help care for the financial processes that support our staff and enable ministry to happen on campuses across Pennsylvania. Regarding this, the Finance Department leader, DM staff Jay Svec, shared this:

“We are excited to welcome Jacob to the Headquarters. He was a fantastic intern in the Finance Department, and we anticipate great things as the Lord continues to supply more laborers for the mission!”

Congratulations, Jacob! We’re grateful for your perseverance and trust in the Lord throughout this season, and we’re excited to see how God will use you as you begin serving with the Headquarters Finance Department!

Jacob Beecher Will Join the Finance Department!

Jacob Beecher

Praise the Lord for the steady work He has been doing through Jacob Beecher's support-raising journey! By God's grace, Jacob continues to build his support team, and we are excited to share his placement with the Headquarters Finance Department!

In this role, Jacob will help support the ministry behind the scenes, caring for many of the financial processes that enable DiscipleMakers staff to serve effectively on campuses across Pennsylvania.

When we checked in with Jacob, he said this about the support-raising process so far: “God has used this season to show me how little control I have, forcing me to rely fully on Him. At the same time, He has been so faithful and kind in providing my every need. He is teaching me what it means to live out Matthew 6:33-34, which says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

True words. As Jacob has been trusting God while working hard and looking ahead, Finance Department manager Jay Svec shared this encouragement: "Jacob has been doing fine work in support raising, and we're excited to have him serving with us at the Headquarters!”

We thank God for how He has been providing for Jacob and preparing him for this opportunity. Please join us in praying that the Lord would continue to raise the remaining support he needs and equip him to serve faithfully. Jacob will officially begin serving when he reaches 100% of the support goal for his full-time ministry with DiscipleMakers.

Keep up the good work, Jacob!

Sarah Oiler Will Join the Central Pennsylvania Campus Team!

Sarah Oiler

Praise the Lord for the steady work He has been doing through Sarah Oiler’s support raising journey! By God’s grace, Sarah is continuing to build her support team, and we are excited to share her placement on the Central Pennsylvania Campus Team!

Sarah has seen the Lord’s kindness clearly so far this season, and she reflected on it this way: “The Lord has been abundantly kind and faithful in providing for my every need. I’m so excited to serve with the Central PA team and see how the Lord continues to move!”

Her team leader, Matt Geiger, shared his excitement about Sarah’s pending arrival: “If you walk into a room with Sarah in it, she will be sure to make you feel welcomed, like you are old friends. She uses her God-given personality for His glory and to show others His incredible love. Sarah will be such an asset in shining Jesus at Penn State and discipling ladies who will go and do likewise. We can’t wait for her to join us!”

We thank God for how He has been providing for Sarah and shaping her through this process. Please join us in praying that the Lord would continue to raise the remaining support she needs and prepare many students on campus to be impacted through her ministry. She’ll join the team when she reaches 100% of the goal set for her full-time ministry work.

Keep up the good work, Sarah!

Collin has been especially encouraged by where the Lord has placed him, and he shared this reflection: “God has continuously reminded me that he is the source of all good gifts, teaching me that my first and boldest requests must go to him!”

Collin’s support coach and teammate, Chris Ebersole had this to say about Collin’s placement: “It has been fun getting to know Collin through his fundraising journey as his mentor and I eagerly await his transition to our area team as boots on the ground brothers!”

Lehigh Valley's team leader, Brian Parker (@brianparker), said upon Liam's placement, "The Lehigh Valley campuses have been blessed recently with growing teams of student leaders who are eager to be trained, and to share the truth and hope of the gospel on campus. Liam will be joining the team at the perfect time to encourage, equip, and labor alongside these students for the sake of the gospel! We can’t wait to welcome him and have his help!” Liam stated upon being placed on the Lehigh Valley team, "I’m pumped to be placed on the LV team! Chris Talluto Will Join the Berks Team!

Chris Talluto

We are happy to announce that Chris Talluto has received his campus placement and will be a part of the Berks team in Southeastern PA!

The growing student population (and subsequent need for the gospel) continues to grow rapidly, so Chris’ placement couldn’t be any more timely. His landing mentor, DM staff worker Lincoln Fitch, had this to say: “God has been opening up more and more doors and bringing out more and more students in Berks county over the past few years. Our nets have become very full! We are thrilled God is sending Chris at this key time to push forward His kingdom work!”

Please pray along with us as Chris continues to raise up a team of prayer and financial supporters for his ministry with DiscipleMakers. His support raising mentor, Mike Usilton, has been encouraged by Chris’ tenacity, adding this: “Despite the challenges of support raising, Chris has held fast to the Lord. I have been deeply encouraged by how steadfast Chris is in carrying out the work the Lord has called him to, and I am deeply excited about how God will use him on the Berks team. Way to go brother!”

Praise God for what’s already doing and what He will do. And please pray that the Lord would provide for Chris’s ministry to college students for many years to come as he looks to reach his goal and begin campus work!

Jessie Martin has reached her ministry funding goal!

Jessie Martin

We’re excited to announce that Jessie Martin has reached her ministry funding goal and has already begun full-time work in the Human Resources department of our Headquarters in State College, PA!

Jessie’s fundraising journey was not an easy path, as our God writes different stories for all of His people. Still, Jessie demonstrated resilience, and the Lord saw her good work and heard not only her prayers, but the prayers of those around her. Not the least of these people was DM staff Megan Williams, Jessie’s support-raising mentor, who shared this: “Throughout a long and sometimes discouraging season, Jessie pressed on toward the goal not simply of full support but of knowing and treasuring God himsel! She thrived when she could see God working on her heart even when there was "no fruit on the vine"..

Plenty of fruit has indeed grown. As she reflected on the season, Jessie shared this with us: “I’m grateful for all the lessons God taught me through my support raising journey. Now I am excited to serve DM staff at all of our campuses by doing behind-the-scenes work in HR!” Her new manager, Brandon Wenger agreed, and added this: “Jessie being added to the department is answer to prayer. We’re excited to have her!”

The wait is over. Jessie is now serving us in this new season of HQ work. We’re already enjoying her wisdom, work, and welcoming spirit. Thanks to the many donors and friends who made it possible.

Congratulations, Jessie!

Nate Reimer will serve on our Lehigh Valley Team!

Nate & Lexi Reimer

We are pleased to announce that Nate Reimer will serve on the Lehigh Valley team when he reaches his ministry funding goal!

It’s been a busy year for Nate. In addition to joining DiscipleMakers and launching into fundraising, Nate married his wife, Lexi, last December. Even better, Lexi is planning to volunteer alongside Nate once he reaches his goal! In the meantime, she has been a great supporter, both by encouraging him and helping him stay focused on Jesus as he ministers to others.

Though Nate’s support raising journey recently began in June, the Lord’s work in him has already been clear. When asked to reflect on his progress, Nate said this: “This season of support raising has shown me how much I need to depend upon the Lord and His provision, allowing that to give me peace as I labor with eagerness to get on campus. I am no longer anxious about how He will provide, but rather motivated to reach the students and trust in faith that the Lord will provide in His timing!”

As Nate has stepped out in faith, his mentor, DM staff Dan Miller, couldn’t help but notice it, adding: “What a faithful brother Nate is. I’ve been really proud of him as he’s boldly jumped headlong into a season of life that is difficult for many people. Nate has a real confidence, and it’s in Jesus.”

As Nate continues to raise support, the rest of the Lehigh Valley team eagerly awaits the day when he reaches his goal. In fact, his landing team leader, DM staff Brian Parker, had this to say: “Nate and Lexi joining the Lehigh Valley team couldn't be more timely. The vibrancy of their love for people, their boldness in sharing the gospel, and their winsomeness in being all things to all people will make an immediate impact for Jesus on our campuses.”

We’re exited for you, Nate! As he is now just over 20% of his ministry funding goal, please pray as he continues to raise support and looks ahead to serving alongside the Lehigh Valley team.

Tyler Pick will serve on our Mason-Dixon Team!

We are pleased to announce that Tyler Pick will serve on the Mason-Dixon team when he reaches his ministry funding goal!

Tyler’s support-raising journey has been exciting so far, and began with an added bonus: Just a month ago, Tyler married his new wife, Maddy, who is planning to volunteer alongside him once they reach their goal!

And while this is just beginning, the Lord’s work in Tyler through the ministry of support raising has been clear. When asked to comment on Tyler’s progress, his mentor, DM staff Colby Benedict, remarked: “I have been deeply encouraged by Tyler's humility in support raising. Despite navigating the workload of two jobs, getting married, moving, and raising support, he has been slow to complain, quick to ask questions, and even quicker to lay his cares before the throne of grace. I am challenged by his unwavering reliance on the Lord in this season and his deep desire to honor Him in all things.”

As Tyler continues to raise support, the rest of the Mason-Dixon team eagerly awaits the day when he reaches his goal. In fact, Tyler’s landing team leader, Kevin Noyes, had this to say: “Tyler has already shown his eagerness to bless students and our staff team. We have prayed for more disciples of Christ and gospel laborers, and God has answered that prayer in Tyler. I am encouraged by Tyler's faith, and we are all eager to see how God works in and through him on the Mason-Dixon Team!”

Tyler is now nearing 20% of his ministry funding goal! Please pray as he continues to raise support and looks ahead to serving alongside the Mason-Dixon team.
