Connor and Gabby McChesney have reached their ministry funding goal!

Connor and Gabby McChesney

We are delighted to announce that Connor and Gabby McChesney have successfully reached their fundraising goal in preparation for all the outreach opportunities of the summer and the fall!

Now freshly married, Connor and Gabby were delighted to begin their fundraising as two, and end it as one. Reflecting on the season, they said: “We are astounded at all of the ways we have seen God work over the last year! God is so faithful and, by His grace, He has abundantly provided for all of our needs! It has been such a joy to grow in reliance on Him through this season. We are so grateful to hit the ground running at Penn State and proclaim to students that the same God who provided for us has provided salvation for all who would call on his son, Jesus Christ!”

Both also considered the mentorship he received during support raising as invaluable. Connor mentor, DM staff Micah Natal, added this: “What began as a daunting task has become one of the most transformative parts of Connor’s walk with Christ. Through every conversation, every unexpected gift, and every moment of waiting, God has been teaching Connor to trust Him more deeply, depend on His provision, and love His people in new ways.”

Gabby's mentor, DM staff Jensica Isiminger at PSU, piled on even more praise, remarking: “Throughout her season of support raising, I was consistently encouraged by Gabby’s steps of faith. As she honored God, He richly strengthened her faith and blessed her support raising! I can’t wait to work with her at Penn State!”

Their new team leader, Matt Geiger, has eagerly welcomed them, eager to continue what God began not long ago. He had this to say: “Two summers ago, I oversaw Connor & Gabby as interns. Now, God has joined them in marriage, brought them through support raising, and is placing them on campus to share the good news of Jesus that has so radically changed them. God’s timing is perfect, as they are ministering alongside interns this summer and joining the work on Penn State’s campus this fall!”

Praise the Lord for His good work, and pray for the McChesneys as they begin their new ministry assignment!
