Although born and raised less than three miles apart, we did not become friends until late in high school. Ironically, it was also at this time that our hearts began to yearn for greater joy & hope than the fleeting pleasures of the world around us. To that end, the Lord intervened to show us the true justice and mercy of the Gospel during our years in college.

For me (Josh), I always struggled to understand the very thing Paul mentions in Galatians 3: “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us." It wasn't until college that I fully grasped this truth. Experiencing the joy of walking alongside other brothers and sisters in Christ helped me recognize my greatest joy: Witnessing God amazingly multiple His disciples. In His mercy, the Lord has given me another opportunity to experience this joy by ministering to college students with DiscipleMakers.

For Megan, it was similar. Simply “doing the right thing” always seemed to take precedence growing up. It wasn't until her time at Messiah College where she really cultivated an understanding of what it meant to lay down her life for the sake of the Gospel and others. Megan is eager to build relationships with students in a volunteer role with DiscipleMakers as she pursues her passion of serving the marginalized in our community.
