Nick Smartt Joins DiscipleMakers' Staff Team

Nick Smartt has joined DiscipleMakers’ staff team! From Needmore, PA, Nick was heavily involved with DM as a Penn State student, interning in the summer of 2015. 

Upon accepting a position on our staff team, Nick said, "College is a pivotal time for young adults from all over the world and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to be an influence for Jesus in their lives during their time at college. I want to see Christ honored in my life and in the lives of others!"

Pray for Nick as he begins support raising over the winter and as he finishes up his senior year at Penn State in May.

Sarah Johnson Reaches Ministry Funding Goal

Praise the Lord! Sarah Johnson has reached her ministry funding goal and will be fully transitioning to her first assignment, the Lancaster Area Team, where she served as in intern in 2015.

Upon reaching her support goal, Sarah said: "I am excited to continue to build relationships with the staff and students that I met as an intern. God is doing amazing work in the Lancaster area, and I am thrilled to be a part of it!"

Bob & Ashley Burns Join DiscipleMakers' Staff Team

Bob & Ashley Burns have joined DiscipleMakers’ staff team! Bob, originally from New Jersey, and Ashley, originally from Virginia, recently felt the call to full time ministry with DiscipleMakers. Bob & Ashley wanted to do even more to further God's Kingdom and felt that a move to full time ministry was the next step for their family. They have been involved in the ministries of their local church for a few years, and are eager to bring their experience to DiscipleMakers. 

Upon accepting their position on our staff team, the Burns said, "We’re very excited to serve on staff with DiscipleMakers because we love seeing others grow in their relationships with the Lord and we know God will use this experience to help us grow closer to Himself as well!"

Praise God with us, and pray for Bob & Ashley as they begin raising a support team for their ministry with DiscipleMakers.

Steph Hartman Joins DiscipleMakers' Staff Team

Steph Hartman has joined DiscipleMakers’ staff team! A native of Oley, PA, Steph was involved with the Penn State fellowship as a college student, she also served as a DM intern.

Upon accepting the staff position, Steph said, "I am super excited to work with the ministry that God has used so much in my own life during college! I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for me during this next chapter in my life of raising support and then going and sharing the hope of Jesus with college students!"

Praise God with us, and pray for Steph as she finishes up her senior year and begins raising support for her ministry with DiscipleMakers in May.

TJ Renninger Joins DiscipleMakers' Staff Team

TJ Renninger has joined DiscipleMakers’ staff team! A Software Engineering major and 2016 graduate of Shippensburg University, TJ was involved with DM's student fellowship during his college years. He also served as a IT professional in the DM summer internship earlier this year. "I am excited to join DiscipleMakers because it has had a huge impact on my life," said TJ. "I want to be a part of a ministry where I can help impact other's lives." 

We praise God for leading TJ to join DM! Pray for him as he begins recruiting his support team for his ministry with DiscipleMakers.

Bria Griffin Has Reached Her Fundraising Goal!

Bria Griffin has reached her ministry funding goal! God has provided the full amount needed for her ministry with DiscipleMakers.“The Lord taught me so many things in this season of support raising,” Bria said. “I’m completely in awe of how he graciously provided for me. I can’t wait to get to the Susquehanna Valley and be a part of what God is doing there.”

Now that she has reached this milestone, Bria will transition to her next ministry assignment: the Susquehanna Valley Team. Please join us in praising the Lord for Bria and pray that He will continue raising up laborers for the harvest field!

Gary & Lily Christman to Join Susquehanna Valley Team

We are happy to report that Gary & Lily Christman will be serving on the Susquehanna Valley Team upon the completion of their full-time fundraising.

“Lily and I are very excited to join the Susquehanna Valley team in making disciples,” said Gary, “We are really looking forward to investing in this community and we know God is preparing good works as we make our way there.” 

Last month, the Christmans passed the 70% mark on their way toward their ministry support goal. Please pray for Gary & Lily as they continue to work hard toward full support so they can begin their new ministry assignment!

We are happy to announce that Sarah Johnson will be serving on the Lancaster Area Team once she completes her full-time fundraising.

“I am so blessed to continue working with students in the Lancaster/Lebanon Area. It is a privilege to be part of a new DiscipleMakers team pioneering into new campuses and I am eager to see how the Lord works!” said Sarah.

Recently, Sarah passed the 70% mark on her way to 100% of her ministry support goal. Please pray for Sarah as she continues to work hard toward her support goal so she can begin her new ministry assignment in the Lancaster area!

Madi (Zoller) Wenger Marries Brandon Wenger and Joins Lehigh Valley East Team!

We are excited to announce that on June 5th, Madi Zoller married Brandon Wenger.The newlyweds will be serving together on the Lehigh Valley East Team.

Reflecting on the recent changes, Madi said, "I’m excited to join the team that I’ve gotten to know while dating Brandon. I’m also looking forward to ministering alongside Brandon and the Lehigh Valley East team as we work towards our goal of reaching the campus, reaching the world!”

Janae (DelMaestro) Siford Marries Alex Siford and Joins Staff Team!

We are overjoyed to announce that on May 28th, Janae DelMaestro married Alex Siford. Alex is part of our Penn State Campus team. The newlyweds will now serve together at DiscipleMakers and will transition to serving on our candidate staff team until the completion of their full-time fundraising. Janae's first official day at DiscipleMakers was June 1st.
